Aim of the project
This project focused on the impact of infrastructures on the urban development of cities in the Baltics and Germany. The workshop brings together scholars from the fields of Anthropology, Sociology, History, Geography and Economics in order to critically discuss, how the changing modes of infrastructurisation influence the communal decision-making. How do local, regional and national actors set agendas to use infrastructures in order to develop urban space in small- and midscale towns? And how does the supranational level of the European Union and the Russian Federation vis-à-vis the Baltic states influence this decision-making process?
