The BAAS Conference is one of the largest academic conferences dedicated to Asian Studies in Europe. It is organized every two years and brings together about 100 participants from many different countries. The scope of the conference covers East Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia and other parts of the region and allows participants to share new discoveries, insights and future research plans. The conference mainly attracts scholars from the humanities and social sciences: anthropology, ethnology, history, linguistics, sociology, political science, etc.
