Aim of the project

Problems of the constitutional dimension of Germany and of the Baltic States, and analysis of the political situation at the foundation of democratic states governed by the rule of law after World War I. Exchange of accumulated experience and opinions about future perspectives.

Main activities of the project

  1. An information campaign to raise awareness of the preparation for and the progress of the Conference (via Internet resources and mass media).
  2. Conference performing in the premises of the University of Latvia and the Council of Jūrmala.
  3. Preparing the proceedings of the Conference for publication and posting them on a public website.
  4. The publication of the conference papers in the Journal „Latvijas Universitātes Žurnāls. Juridiskā zinātne/Journal Of The University Of Latvia“.

Target group and number of persons involved

75 participants took part at the Conference.

After publishing the proceedings of the Conference online (within 5 years), the number of those interested is expected to rise up to 2 000.
