Riga Technical University
flag-DE
Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences
flag-EE
University of Tartu

Aim of the project

Aim of the project is to develop stable metal oxide gas sensors for quantitative detection and identification of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at low concentration levels by thermo-cyclic approach.

Main activities of the project

  1. Synthesis and characterization of spinel ferrite gas sensor materials (Riga Technical University, Latvia)
  2. Preliminary, isothermal gas response and stability testing (University of Tartu, Estonia)
  3. Fabrication of gas detecting elements (sensor-chips) for thermo-cyclic gas response tests (Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Germany)
  4. Test of the thermo-cyclic sensing properties of the sensor- layers (materials) (Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Germany)

Target group and number of persons involved

Over 20 scientists from target audience is expected to participate in presentation in Riga. Target audience around 10 persons was achieved.
