Aim of the project
- The goal of this project is to organise the annual conference of the COLLOQUIUM BALTICUM network, whose main goal is to identify and inquire into the nature of the Antiquity after Antiquity in the Baltic sea region, paying a special attention this year to the revelation and evaluation of the special role of the Riga humanists in the functionality of the ideas of Antiquity in the North-East Europe.
- A long-term goal is to develop research projects to study thoroughly the applications, models and functions of Antiquity that would unite under one platform on the one hand an all-encompassing cultural research and on the other hand the different national specifics of historical reception of Antiquity. Thus the cultural traits of North-East Europe would be further integrated in the whole of European communication and cultural space.
