Scholarships
The extensive offer of study and research opportunities in universities is an excellent opportunity to add to your knowledge. Each student, researcher and university teacher can find the most suitable study programme, research or continuing education programme for their interests and abilities.


ELES-Scholarship (Ernst-Ludwig-Ehrlich-Studienwerk)
This scholarship is open to students having attained an above-average academic performance in their current degree studies; they must be at least five semesters far from competing their degree according to the standard study plan. Candidates are required to show a demonstrable commitment to their social milieu (Jewish communities or other youth, student or social organizations) as well as to the founding principles of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk. Applications must be accompanied by a letter of motivation from the candidate and a letter of reference from a representative of a Jewish institution. Applicants must be citizens of the European Union or Switzerland.
Deadline:
- The application deadlines for student financial support are April 30 (for admission for the winter semester) and October 31 (for admission for the summer semester)
- The selection seminars take place in August and February each year



German Academic Exchange Service DAAD Scholarships
DAAD awards various studies and research scholarships to graduates, doctorands, university professors, and researchers who would like to visit Germany for study or research purposes.



Bavarian support initiative for German foreign and partner schools (BayBIDS)
BayBIDS grants scholarships to excellent graduates of German foreign- and partner schools, who want to begin a degree in Bavaria. The aim is to ease the start into their studies and to give recognition to the choice and the organizational and financial effort that comes with it. Applications from German citizens are not possible.

Foundation of Berlin House of Representatives
The Studienstiftung des Abgeordnetenhauses von Berlin sponsors a scholarship programme for students and young scholars of all fields from France, Great Britain, the USA and the successor states of the Soviet Union. Applicants should work on projects that require access to research facilities in Berlin. The grants are awarded according to various criteria, above all academic achievement and civic engagement.
The grants shall be awarded to young university graduates and students with at least a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any field, in particular the humanities and social sciences. The funds shall be used to advance academic education at all state and state- recognized universities and academic research institutions in Berlin
