Aims of the Projects
Participants of the project will gain a new experience of international cooperation and collaboration between researchers and universities of different European countries in light of topical legal issues related to Medical / Health law. The project will increase the capacity of representatives of medical institutions and the capacity of students, researchers, and academic environment representatives involved in the project itself (information, exchange of experience). Germany has the lead position in the Medical law field among the EU countries. Therefore, especially during the pandemic Medical law becomes a crucial issue. From this perspective, scientific support and cooperation projects are welcomed for the countries of the Baltic States.

Main activities
During the project, the international scientific conference in the medical law field will be organized in cooperation with German medical law experts. Keynote speakers (the field professionals) will be invited from Germany, Estonia, and Lithuania. After the conference, more relevant and scientifically novel publications will be published in the scientific journal Socrates. The journal is indexed in the Erih pluss and ICI Copernicus data bases.
The international scientific conference will take place at Riga Stradiņš University (Riga, Latvia), Dzirciema street 16. In case of restrictions due to Covid-19, the keynote speakers will be presented “on stage”, but the number of participants “in place” will depend on the current restrictions. Participation in the conference will also be available via Zoom.
Direct and indirect target group
Direct: Around 80-100 (direct conference registered participants, listeners, keynote speakers); other people, who will read the conference scientific articles collection (more than 80).
Indirect: More than 100 (life stream and record conference listeners); recorded files of the conference will be send to the different public hospitals and health organizations, law offices, court system staff.
