Short description of the achieved project aim(s)
The TU Tallinn (TalTech) has maintained very good relations with Germany for many years, which is reflected in active scientific exchange, joint EU projects, and joint scientific publications. This exchange is particularly active in the areas of “digitalization” and “sustainability”, which are particularly important in the TalTech strategy. It is important to note that this exchange is not just one-sided, which is already known in the area of digitalization. The performed events bring together well-known German and Estonian institutions that will discuss future research and exchange activities together. The focus of the project is on young Estonian researchers who are introduced to the current state of science in Germany and are particularly made aware of contacts in Germany and opportunities for cooperation with Germany. The achieved aim was to transfer the existing relationships to the young generation of Estonian scientists.
We have invited three nationally known scientists from Germany, Prof. Prause from Wismar, Prof. Robischon from the Humboldt University of Berlin and Prof. Michael Herzog from the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, who, together with our colleagues in Tallinn and the two colleagues Prof. Kitzmann from Narva and Prof. Norbisrath from the University of Tartu, who will lead the scientific discussion.
Finally, we managed to publish a special issue book on the topic of managing the twin challenge of sustainability and digital transformation in the University of Pardubice Scientific Journal.
