Aim of the project
- Improvement of the cooperation between Estonian and German marine microbiologists.
- Exchange of technical know-how.
- Improvement of the understanding of the bacterioplankton dynamics in the Baltic Sea.
Main activities of the project
Sample collection, preliminary analysis, cell sorting, phylogenetic analyses, sequencing, seminar and data analysis.
Target group and number of persons involved
Marine scientists, mainly marine microbiologists. A total of forty people were involved.
