Aim of the project

1. Using the alphavirus oncolytic properties, explore their ability to stimulate M1 macrophage phenotype flow in murine tumors.
2. To learn new molecular biology techniques.
3. New Latvian-Estonian-German collaboration creation for longlasting and productive research.

Main activities of the project

Activities:

  1. Recombinant alphavirus acquisition, distribution and activity test of macrophages in mouse models of breast cancer.
  2. Analysis of macrophage phenotype, practical training and theoretical advice.

Events:

  1. Seminarat the Heidelberg University Faculty of Medicine in Mannheim, The Clinic of Dermatology, Germany. The participants: Latvian and German partners (Date of event: November 2014).
  2. The final webinar to discuss the project results. Webinar participants: Latvian and German project partners. (Date of event: December 2014).
