Duration of the project

15.01.2015. - 15.12.2015.

Countries and institutions involved in the project

flag-LV
Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre
flag-DE
Heidelberg University

Aim of the project

Research:

  1. Localization microscopic investigations of Heregulin-stimulated conformational changes of ErbB2 and ErbB3 (Her2,)Her3 cell receptors in breast cancer cells.
  2. Change of DNA conformation, double strand breaks, and stress-response genes (c-myc) in this model.

Main activities of the project

Biological and microscopic experiments, seminars in Heidelberg and Riga, exchange of know how, presentation of results in conferences, preparation of scientific articles.

Target group and number of persons involved

Scientists and students from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, from BMC, the Latvian University, Riga and some other Univeristies, from both institutes and the laboratory of Prof. K. Yoshikawa in Kyoto, the International Conference on Radiation Biology in Kyoto, the International Conference Chromosoma 2015 in Novosibirsk. Together ~2,250 persons.
