Aim of the project
The aim of the project is to assess potential gains and opportunities as well as to provide a certain technological solutions for three layer Panel with MDF or Plywood ribs and Covering.
Main activities of the project
To assess and adjust composite timber fiber plate usage possibilities for plates with increased specific strength (using micro-level simulations and experiments to define characteristics, defining, using in calculations)
Target group and number of persons involved
Directly – Latvian and German producer’s of sandwichpanels (about 10 in Latvia and more than 20 in Germany (SIA Tenapors, RUUKKI, HOESCH, KINGSPAN, NORDBLECHE etc.) about 5 plywood producers in Latvia and furniture (IKEA, XXXL etc.), 50 scientists and students in Latvia and more than 100 in Germany and other countries, indirectly – all builders and citizens will benefit when using products that are made by using the new material.
