Aims of the project

The main aim of this project is to promote academic scientific cooperation between the Baltic States and Germany and to strengthen the links between the Children’s Surgery Clinic of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and the Department of Paediatric Surgery and Urology of the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main. This cooperation is aimed at both academic and research areas, including infrastructure sharing between the two institutions. This project provides for academic exchanges consisting of a visit by a visiting professor from the University of Frankfurt to the Children’s Surgery Clinic of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. The visit will include lectures, seminars and training for students, residents and doctors in the field of paediatric surgery. The other part of the project involves a visit of a LSMU professor to the University of Frankfurt to participate in academic, study and teaching activities, as well as to get acquainted with the activities of the scientific laboratory of the Department of Paediatric Surgery at the University of Frankfurt and to plan joint future scientific activities.

Direct: two people from Lithuanian site and two people from German site will directly participate in exchange visits. Number: 4
