Vladimir-Admoni-Graduate School for the Baltic States

The Baltic Vladimir-Admoni-Graduate School aims at qualifying young academics of the Departments of German studies at universities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The School is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service as part of the Vladimir-Admoni-program.

The Admoni-students receive a double mentoring at their home university and at a German partner university. They are supported by sur-place scholarships at their home university, research stays in Germany and joint graduate colloquia and seminars at the Vladimir-Admoni-Graduate School.

Thirteen universities from the Baltic States (Daugavpils University, Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, University of Klaipeda, University of Latvia, Tallinn University, University of Tartu, Ventspils University College, Vilnius University) and from Germany (University of Duisburg-Essen, University of Freiburg, Justus Liebig University of Gießen, University of  Göttingen, University of Mainz, University of Würzburg). The University of Latvia is responsible for coordination in the Baltic States and the University of Freiburg is responsible for coordination in Germany. The School is located in Riga.
